On March 1, 2019, Zhong Bin, the Deputy Director General of the Department of Soil Ecology and Environment of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and his team went to Huangshi City to conduct research on pollution control. The Donggang project is a typical industrial site remediation project in the Huangshi area, one of the first demonstration areas for soil pollution control in the country. It is a typical large-scale composite industrial contaminated site with a total area of 70.14 hectares, involving the integrated management of soil, groundwater, surface water, solid waste, hazardous waste, etc. It is very close to the residential area. After the remediation, it will be developed into an industrial heritage park, which will be planned and designed by the Latz team from Germany. Therefore, our company has organized many expert group discussions and had a number of top-level project designs and preparation of the engineering plans, in view of the project features such as high degree of difficulty of remediation and high remediation targets. We have put the risk management concept into the whole life cycle of this parcel of land and proposed an innovative concept of “clean remediation”. We have completed the design, processing and construction organization design of the integrated pollution control units such as a thermal desorption system with a form of “negative pressure greenhouse”. This effectively decreased the influence of equipment noise, smoke and dust emissions and so on to the surrounding residents. It has also achieved energy saving and clean production, and has set a precedent and model for the clean production of the remediation industry.
