China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group(referred to CECEP) and Xiangtan Municipal Government of Hunan Province announce the signing of a strategic agreement at Jieneng Masion,Beijing on Jan 20th,2013. Chairman of CECEP Wang Xiaokang, Vice Secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee and mayor of Xiangtan city Hu Weilin attended the signing ceremony. Member of CPC Municipal Committee and Vice Major Liu Jian and vice general manager of CECEP Yu Honghui signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides.
Under this agreement, both sides will develop cooperation in the following field, such as heavy metal contamination treatment and industrial contaminated sites remediation, municipal water industry, energy saving and environmental protection projects, and construction of the demonstration industrial parks. Both sides will hold fully trust, win-win cooperation and joint development as the cooperation principle.
Based on the cooperation of Xiangtan Municipal Government and CECEP, Secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee of Yuhu District Liu Yongzhen and Deputy Director of Environmental protection department of CECEP, president of CECDADI Hu Qing, signed the project cooperative agreement. Following Yuhu District’s need to develop Heling Region to be the centralized industrial park and provincial development zone, CECDADI and Yuhu District Government developed comprehensive cooperation in environmental remediation and infrastructure construction in the manganese mine area.
Leaders of Xiangtan Municipal Government, Yuhu District Government and CECEP also participated in the signing ceremony.
