On June7th, 2013, feasibility discussion meeting on construction of the State Environmental Protection Engineering Center for Industrial Contaminated Sites and Groundwater Remediation (the Center for short hereafter) organized by CECDADI and supported by China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), has been held in Jieneng Mansion in Beijing.
Deputy Director of Science, Technology and Standards Department of Ministry of Environmental Protection Liu Zhiquan, General Manager of CECEP Wang Tongzhou, Chief Engineer of CECEP Zou Jiefu attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The committees of expert consist of specialists of contaminated site remediation from Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences and etc. Deputy General Manager of Environmental Business Group of CECEP, President of CECDADI Hu Qing gave a detailed presentation on construction plan of the Center
The committee of expert agreed that construction of the Center had a great significance especially when threats from contamination of industrial site and groundwater were growing. The Center’ position was reasonably and CECDADI had great advantage in talents, technologies and engineering experience. The committee approved the feasibility study of construction of national engineering and technology center for contaminated site and groundwater remediation.
